"...we should pass over all biographies of 'the good and the great,' while we search carefully the slight records of wretches who died in prison, in Bedlam, or upon the gallows."

And, finally, my favorite story of the week:  This Crazy Cat Man is my new hero.

There you have it, gang. Happy link-clicking. I'll see you on Monday, when we'll be getting a lesson in Scottish Family Values. In the meantime, here's The Seekers.

  1. I love the playful medieval cats. Cheeky tapestry felines. And I always enjoy hearing the Seekers, and it's not just because I think Judith Durham was as cute as all get-out.

  2. I liked that cat man story, too. I offered my cat some coffee this morning and she gave me the strangest look . . .

  3. Oh, and I read the story about Mr Perry... That is one crazy cat-man, God bless him. What a great guy. Even if his cats only lived half as long as he claims (and he's probably truthful anyway), they obviously were loved and given the best possible lives. And he's smart, too: at 85, he has only one cat. He clearly doesn't want to die leaving dozens to an unknown fate. Let's hope he lives a long time yet. (I tried tea with my cats. No go.)
