"...we should pass over all biographies of 'the good and the great,' while we search carefully the slight records of wretches who died in prison, in Bedlam, or upon the gallows."

  2. "Connecticut's haunted, abandoned town."

Dudleyville was closed to the public after The Blair Witch Project came out and 'ghost hunters' were vandalizing the ruins & starting fires.

For a pleasant ghost town visit Bara Hack, aka the Village of Voices, near Abbington Corners outside Pomfret. Its a lovely walk through the woods with picturesque stone foundations & a gorgeous cemetery gate.

  3. I did not know that archaeologists re-bury some of their finds. How do they decide which parts to re-bury? Since there are many exhibits of items excavated, it can't be all of them. And the article on the Saxon girl was fascinating. Why did she emigrate to England? I would love to know her history. And what horses see... It makes sense that it would be quite different than our vision.
