DeleteThe 'murder bag' is interesting. I knew of Spilsbury, but not his part in organising the 'murder bag', though I should have guessed. (The statement that at one point there were so many murders in Britain that the police had run out of bags made me smile: they ran out of eight bags... Some crime spree.) Speaking of crime sprees, that Weidman deserved his ending in France. What a pointless string of killings. 'Seahenge' and the world's oldest wine were good articles, too. I don't suppose anyone volunteered to taste the wine. And the article on the Soviet involvement in Afghanistan was interesting. Their Vietnam or not, they really should have known better...
