  1. It's hard to believe that Society would have tolerated Miss Spottswood marrying so soon, and so many times, after the deaths of her husbands. Even these days, people might look askance at such velocity.

    And I always wondered why or how the recipe for Greek fire was lost. The Byzantines simply stopped using it.

    Oh, and those two young cats on the far right in the picture of the holidaying Starnge Company HQ looked quite perturbed at the tooting of the black cat. Actually, the black cat doesn't look too confident himself.
