Newspaper Clipping of the Day

In 1890, a shameless ripoff homage to Poe's "The Bells" was used to scare people into buying fire insurance.  No, I don't get it either.

  2. Very interesting. Didn't know they had that type of advertising back then.
    He would be avery odd insurance salesman that I would probably have to listen to especially if he spoke as well as he writes.
