In the end, most got ...Wow, what a convoluted case. In the end, most got what they deserved, except Meagher, with whom fate dealt too kindly. But Dean's nine years - and at hard labour, to boot - was probably what he would have gotten for attempted murder these days. (Hanging for an attempt at murder does seem a bit harsh; I didn't think it could even be given as a punishment for that crime.)
