It seems very likely that Marion Lambert ...I agree. It seems very likely that Marion Lambert committed suicide. It probably even unfolded the way Orpet described in his final version of events. He was a coward and a liar, but not much worse than many people, and better than many. His worst crime (aside from the lies that could have gotten him executed) was trifling with a girl and realizing far too late how dangerous the situation was.
