Weekend "Link" Dump (conundrums)
ReplyDeletelinks = golf
links = sausage
links = connections
Therefore: What is the connection between golf & (tofu) sausage?
(Sorry about that. It just came to me this morning. Maybe there's a help group for people with an uncontrollable impulse to share bad jokes? It would be better with a punch line, but I can't think of one.)
I've always liked the Duke of Wellington. His judgement was usually sound, and in this case, his opinions of both Louis XVIII and Charles X were shared by Leopold I, King of the Belgians, another shrewd gentleman and 'uncle of Europe' in his time. He wrote that history would say that Louis was decent and moderate and Charles despotic, whereas the truth, though not quite the reverse, was very different.
